companionship services
People who no longer drive, live in a rural area, or have mobility restrictions are at high risk of social isolation. Many people think that this a normal part of aging, but at Aging Resources of Douglas County, we believe something can be done about it. County residents over the age of 60 and adults with physical disabilities can apply to Neighbor Network to receive companionship services. Volunteers are matched with members of the Neighbor Network program, who we refer to as our Neighbors, for weekly visits, phone calls or outings.
Ask about our new virtual companion program!Companionship services are free of charge. Any donations received help offset programming costs. Companion requests are not guaranteed to be fulfilled.
