![]() Douglas County older adults are discovering friendships and regaining their independence through Neighbor Network’s Companion Program. Last year, our volunteers provided over 700 hours of companionship services to seniors at risk of social isolation. Although the Companion Program is one of our most popular, it receives zero grant funds to keep it operating, just donations and kindness. In order to secure funding for the next year of the program, we are launching our first ever peer-to-peer fundraising campaign. Peer-to-peer fundraising is a more intimate way to raise money, where volunteers sign up to host a small event with their friends and family, taking a few minutes to share their experience and passion for the cause. If you want to spread the word about our Companion Program and help us reach our fundraising goal for another year of senior companionship, sign up to become a Volunteer-Fundraiser by visiting https://neighbornetwork.kindful.com/companionshipdrive and click "Create A Team" then create a secure account. We'll reach out to you to make sure you have all the tools and support you need. Set your own goal, get creative, have fun! It's easy and makes a HUGE impact on our Douglas County seniors!
